Former minister and leader of Agrawal society, Mangeram Gupta passes away. He was 85 years old at the time of his death. He breathed his last on Friday morning at his residence in Gandhi Nagar, Jind. He was running very ill since last time. He was undergoing treatment in Chandigarh. There is grief in Jind after his death.
According to media reports, Mangeram Gupta was brought to Jind last night. His last rites will be held at 1 pm today at Bankhand Mahadev crematorium. After the news of his death, there was an influx of leaders and people at his residence. People are paying homage to their last visit. Hansi Road will be done on Jind.
Among the veteran leaders of the state, Mangeram Gupta was an MLA four times and Haryana minister three times. He was the local body minister and finance minister in the Bhajan Lal government. He was the Transport and Education Minister in the Bhupendra Singh Hooda government. Mageram Gupta had an important place in the politics of Jind region and Haryana.
