Chandigarh: A mahapanchayat was convened in connection with the Nikita murder case of Faridabad in Hariyana. It has been decided in Sarva Samaj Mahapanchayat that the killers who killed 21-year-old Nikita should be hanged at the earliest. After which the fierce mob blocked the Faridabad-Ballabhgarh highway on Sunday.

The crowd became so fierce that the police had to resort to baton charge to control them. The police had no idea during the Mahapanchayat that the situation would be so bad. After the Mahapanchayat, the protesters took to the road. They started stone-pelting. After which the police first had to control them and resort to lathicharge. Later, the police, after talking to some people of the panchayat, understood and extinguished the traffic back on the highway.

The police is still trying to calm the case, so that the case does not get worse. It has been told that the Sarva Samaj Mahapanchayat was called on Sunday. People from nearby villages also took part in this mahapanchayat. Amidst the Mahapanchayat, some people went out and blocked the road.
