Despite all the bad publicity in the world, hydroxychloroquine is proving beneficial not only in preventing Covid-19 but also in case of mild. The ICMR has already recommended health care workers and front line workers to take HCQ to prevent infection of Covid-19 in its guidelines. Now ICMR and AIIMS have asked all the states to use it in the treatment of mild case of Covid-19. While advising caution in the use of the much-hyped vaccine like Remadecivir, it has also warned against its bad effects on liver and kidney.
On the matter of Covid-19 management, a virtual meeting of senior officials of states, AIIMS and ICMR was held on Friday. In this, states have been advised to use HCQ in the treatment of mild case of corona. ICMR and AIIMS officials believed that SQQ has proved beneficial in the treatment of mild cases. The thing to understand is that in the total case of Covid-19, the mild cases are more than 80 percent. Prior to this, many types of propaganda were carried out in the world to exclude HCQ treatment of Covid-19, including printing articles in reputed journals like Lancet with the help of wrong figures. But the Lancet later retracted this article.
Along with the use of HCQ in the treatment of mild case of Covid-19, the ICMR has asked the states to be careful in the use of Remadecivir. According to the ICMR, many other vaccines, including Remedisvir, have been allowed to be used only in emergency positions under strict surveillance. The ICMR says that Ramsidivir has not proved to be beneficial in preventing death from Covid-19. This vaccine only reduces the time of infection. That is, patients need treatment for fewer days. Ramsedivir has a lot of side effects and can cause serious damage to the kidneys and liver.
