Bangalore: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is in Karnataka on a two-day visit. He arrived in Bengaluru on Saturday on his two religious visits. On Saturday evening, Amit Shah laid the foundation stone of the RAF unit in the Shivamogga district. However, former CM and JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy has now targeted Home Minister Amit Shah over the foundation panel.

Kumaraswamy wrote on his Twitter handle that Home Minister Amit Shah laid the foundation stone of the RAF unit at Bhadravati in Shivmoga on Saturday. Foundation panels are in Hindi and English. There is a clear disregard for the Kannada language. He further said that it is the duty of the Central Government to respect the language of the state concerned by adopting a trilingual formula in our diverse country. Ignoring the three language formula on behalf of the Home Minister is derogatory to the Kannada language and Kannada people.

In a tweet, Kumaraswamy further wrote that it was extremely derogatory to the Kannada people. The land that has been given is Kannada land. The Home Minister should respond as to why the Kannada language was neglected. A person who cannot protect the earth and language cannot rule here. Union Minister and B. S. Yediyurappa have betrayed the Kannada people.
