A 50-year-old head constable posted for panchayat poll duty died. The reason for death is saud to be low levels of oxygen in the body as per the officials statement, on Monday.

The officials claim that the deceased, Kamla Singh Yadav was tested positive for coronavirus which was not known by them. He was deployed in the Hussainabad area under Bansdih police station to maintain law. In the order during the ongoing Uttar Pradesh panchayat polls, Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjay Yadav said. The officer futher said that "He complained of breathing difficulties in the morning and was taken to the district hospital where doctors referred him to a bigger hospital.” The victim was then admitted at a medical centre in Buxar district in the neighbouring state of Bihar, where he died during treatment, the ASP added.

The state amid such covid crisis is holding panchayat polls which can result to more serious condition. Till now 1120176 people are affected in Uttar Pradesh by novel coronavirus covid-19. Reportedly, 804563 out of 1120176 have recovered. Whereas 11414 patients have died due to coronavirus in Uttar-pradesh. 304199 patients are still in hospital and recovering.
