MYSURU: The Education Department has filed a sexual assault case against a school's headmaster in H.D.Kote town, Karnataka's Mysuru district, under the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, police said on Saturday.
A video of the school's headmaster kissing a girl in his chamber went viral on social media, causing widespread outrage. Villagers and students have requested that the accused headmaster be punished after the video went viral. The video was taken through a window by the pupils. The girl moves aside when she realises the act is being recorded, and the accused approaches the window.
Based on the charges, the Block Education Officer (BEO) filed a complaint against the headmaster for sexual assault on a schoolgirl and requested that disciplinary action be taken against him.
The incident was reported to the H.D. Kote police station. The investigation into the crime has begun, and the complaint is being verified, according to the police. The accused instructor will be detained and interrogated.
