New Delhi: The Union Health Ministry has said that there have been no deaths due to coronavirus in 17 states and union territories in the last 24 hours. Telangana, Odisha, Jharkhand, Puducherry, Chandigarh, Nagaland, Assam, Manipur, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Ladakh, Mizoram, Andaman, and Nicobar Islands, Tripura, Lakshadweep, Arunachal Pradesh, and Daman & Diu, and Dadar & Nagar Haveli during the last 24 hours no one died due to corona.
During the same period, one to five patients of coronavirus have died in 13 states and union territories. According to the ministry, meanwhile, under the corona vaccination campaign, 79,67,647 people have been vaccinated in the country by 8 am on February 13. These include 5,909,136 health workers and 2,058,511 front line workers. There have been 1,64,781 sessions of vaccination so far.
The government has said that the number of beneficiaries is increasing every day. 59.70 percent of beneficiaries of vaccination are from eight states. More than four lakh people have been vaccinated in each state. Of the total beneficiaries of vaccination in the country, 10.8 percent i.e. 8,58,602 beneficiaries are from Uttar Pradesh. At present, 1.36 lakh patients of coronavirus are treated and this figure is 1.25 percent of the total infected people.
