New Delhi: The Supreme Court has begun hearing the case of Indians stranded in Ukraine. Today, the Supreme Court will hear a batch of petitions seeking the Centre to come forward to help Indian students, who are said to be stranded without food, water and money at Ukraine's borders.

The Advocate General (AG) told the Supreme Court that the central government is working on the matter. Chief Justice (CJI) N V Ramana said there are two PILs. Both the petitions of Fatima Aahana and Vishal Tiwari are listed. We'll only listen when the number comes. Yesterday also there was a hearing in the court about this case. At the beginning of the hearing, the court had expressed its inability to do anything in the matter.

CJI NV Ramana said he could not order Russian President Vladimir Putin to stop the war. However, in the end, the court referred the issue of students raised on behalf of the petitioner to the Attorney General. The court urged the Attorney General to talk to the government and try to help these students.
