Heavy loss to Jio, 1.29 crore customers left last year.

In December last year, jio, airtel and vodafone idea three companies increased the price of their pre-paid plans. Airtel's plans were the most expensive, but the loss is being suffered by Reliance Jio the most. State-run telecom company BSNL, which is marginalised, has now started having good days too. After a long time, BSNL has got more than 11 lakh customers in a month. Jio lost 1.29 subscribers in December 2021, while Airtel and BSNL got new customers in this period. During this period, 1.1 million i.e. 11 lakh new customers have also been added to BSNL. Between December 2021, 8.54 million i.e. 85.4 lakh mobile number portability has also been done. Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh received the highest number of MNP requests.  

Vodafone Idea was said by 1.6 million customers tata-bye: According to the news, even after losing more than one crore customers in a month, Jio's share in the market is 36 percent, which is the highest . At number two is Airtel with 30.81 per cent which also got over 4,50,000 new customers in December 2021. At number three is Vi, which has a market share of 23 percent. In December 2021, Vodafone Idea has been given Tata-bye by 16 lakh customers.

According to trai's report for December 2021, the number of active wireless subscribers in the country in December was 1,154.62 million i.e. 115.463 crore, as compared to 1,167.50 million i.e. 116.750  million in November. In such a situation, the  number of active wireless subscribers in December decreased by 1.10 percent. Wireless subscriptions in urban areas have come down from 638.46 million to 633.34 million and in rural areas from 529.04 million to 521.28 million in a month.

BSNL benefits from tariffs being expensive: In December 2021, all private telecom companies had increased the price of their tariff plans, while BSNL had also offered several great offers. BSNL does not have 4G in all circles at the moment, while the 4G service of private companies is in all circles and this is the biggest weakness for BSNL , but after the launch of 4G, bsnl  is expected to have good days.

BSNL gets Rs 44,720 crore for 4G: The government has announced rs 44,720 crore to the loss-making state-run telecom company BSNL. This was announced  by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman during her speech for the Budget 2022-23. According to the budget, this money is going to be used in BSNL's 4G service and restructuring of the company. Apart from Rs 44,720 crore for upgradation, the government has also announced an additional financial assistance of Rs 7,443.57 to BSNL for the voluntary retirement scheme. Rs  3,550 crore will also be given for GST payment.
