Mumbai: Monsoon 2019 rains continue to occur in Mumbai. On Monday also, an alert has been sounded in Mumbai due to the possibility of heavy rains. According to the Met department, a heavy rain alert has been issued in Mumbai for the next 24 hours. Due to this, all schools and colleges in Mumbai and its adjoining districts like Palghar, Thane, Raigad have been ordered to remain closed on Monday.

At the same time, people have been urged by the government to stay in their homes. The government says people should not leave their homes on Monday if necessary. It is worth mentioning here that normal life in Mumbai has been paralysed due to torrential rains over the past several days. About 12 trains plying towards Mumbai LokmanYa Tilak Terminus have been cancelled due to heavy rains. With this, 6 trains have been temporarily stopped. 2 trains have also been temporarily cancelled.

The water level in the central railway has been submerged and a bold road has also collapsed due to heavy rains. As a result, drinking water and food items have been provided by the BMC for passengers stranded at Mumbai's Lokman Tilak Terminus.
