The Meteorological Department has now issued a warning saying that heavy rains are going to occur in some states for the next three days.
According to the Meteorological Department, the coastal areas of north coastal Tamil Nadu, Kerala will receive very widespread rainfall with heavy to very heavy rainfall. Along with this, south interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Lakshadweep are also going to receive heavy rainfall today. At the same time, there is a possibility of very heavy rains in the interior areas of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Mahe on November 13 and 14. At the same time, strong weather (wind speed 40-45 kmph to 55 kmph) is very likely to prevail over south Andhra Pradesh-north Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coasts, Lakshadweep, Comorin area as well as southwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal on November 12.
With this, wind speed is expected to be 40-45 kmph gusting to 55 kmph over Lakshadweep, Maldives-Comorin area, Kerala coast and adjoining southeast Arabian Sea on November 13. The IMD has also advised fishermen not to venture into south Andhra Pradesh-north Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coasts and adjoining southwest and west-central Bay of Bengal and Kerala coasts during November 12-13.
