Ahmedabad: Heavy rains continue in Gujarat these days. 108 Tehsils has recorded 118.11 per cent rainfall in 24 hours. People are facing problems due to this rain. Shambhala has recorded 8 inches of rain, while Valsad, Umarpada and Jamjodhpur have received more than 4 inches of rain. A total of 4,63,834.28 MCFT watershed in 204 reservoirs of the state has received a total of 94.67 per cent rainfall.

More than 100 per cent water is filled in 80 reservoirs located in 108 Tehsils of Gujarat. 68 reservoirs are filled from 70 to 100 per cent. 316274.08 MCFT of water is filled in Sardar Sarovar Dam. The total storage is 94.67 per cent of the power. During the monsoon 2019, 118.11 per cent of the rainy season has been recorded. The average rainfall is 142.18 per cent in Kutch region, 93.04 per cent in North Gujarat, 107.05 per cent in East Central Gujarat, 119.88 per cent in Saurashtra and 127.77 per cent in South Gujarat.

More than 40 inches of rain has been recorded in 75 Tehsils of the state, 150 Tehsils have received between 20 inches and 40 inches of rain. Rainfall between 10 inches and 20 inches has been recorded in 26 Tehsils. The entire state is in a panic due to continuous rains. Roads have been submerged, as well as flood-like conditions have arisen in many villages.
