Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren today devoted to the people the newly constructed vegetable market with modern facilities in the state capital Ranchi. In fact, the Chief Minister said, "It is the endeavour of the Government to provide better facilities to the people in a clean environment. People have to be equal partners in the development process.''

With this, he said, '193 shops have been made in this three-floor market at a cost of 10.86 crores, where space will be provided to about 300 vegetable vendors. Apart from these, about 50 fruit vendors will also be made available. Many facilities have been provided in this modern vegetable market like a modern mall, food court, bio-toilet for women and men, composting machine for waste disposal, a refrigeration system for vegetable storage, and CCTV.'

Let me tell you all that adequate parking, fire fighting systems, storerooms, locker room control rooms have also been constructed here. It also plans to install hammocks for children on its campus. In fact, this market has been built on the vacant land of Naga Baba Khatal near Raj Bhavan. Let me tell you that the process of allotting shops to vegetable vendors of Naga Baba Khatal, who were displaced during the Encroachment Removal Drive, will begin soon.

At the same time, there is a plan to build another similar market at Lalpur-Kokar in Ranchi. The Chief Minister also inaugurated Sardar Patel park at Harmu in the capital last Wednesday. He also unveiled a life-size statue of Sardar Patel at the park. Let me tell you that BJP MP Sanjay Seth, Rajya Sabha MP Deepak Prakash, MLA CP Singh, Chief Minister's Secretary Vinay Kumar Choubey, Mayor Asha Lakda, Municipal Commissioner Mukesh Kumar, Deputy Mayor Shri Sanjeev Vijayvargiya and others were present on the two occasions.
