Kartik Aryaan came to Mumbai to became an actor. He was studying engineering before becoming an actor. He took admitted in a college in Navi Mumbai, but Karthik had a passion to become an actor and this is the reason why he started modeling at the time of college. He used to visit many studios there but got rejected several times. He kept running after his dream.
Karthik used to do modeling along with college. During this he met producer Kumar Mangat and director Luv Ranjan. Luv Ranjan decided to take her in 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama'. After this he appeared in 'Akash Vani' and 'Kanchi'. But these films could not do anything any thing for him. But few days after the release of Film Kartik Aryaam, Monologue went viral. After this, Karthik appeared in Luv Ranjan's film 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2'. His film was a super hit. After this he appeared in 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety'. His film was also a super hit. Karthik worked in films like 'Luka Chuppi' and 'Pati Patni Aur Woh'.
Karthik told during the promotion of 'Love Aaj Kal 2' in 'The Kapil Sharma Show' that his first girlfriend was at the age of 16 and at that time he was afraid that no one would see him while going on a date. Kartik Aaryan even changed his name on the day of Kaanchi. He was credited as Kartik Tiwari. The actor explains the reason behind altering his screen name. Once he revealed the reason of changing his name. He said, “Kartik Aaryan sounded better than Kartik Tiwari (laughs). Actually, Aaryan was always my middle name. It is not something that happened suddenly. Before the release of my first film, I had asked the team to credit me as Kartik Aaryan but they missed out on doing so.”
On the work front, Katik Aaryan ‘s first commercial success was Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety where he starred opposite Bharuccha again & Sunny Singh Nijjar (his co-star from Akash-Vani & Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2). After the success of this film, he bought a bungalow in Mumbai and invited his parents also to live with him there. He also starred in movies like Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 (2015), Guest inn London (2017), Luka Chuppi (2019), Pati Patni Aur Woh (2019), Love Aaj Kal (2020) etc.
