HYDERABAD: President Droupadi Murmu was warmly welcomed upon her arrival at Hyderabad's Begumpet airport on Monday, marking the commencement of her annual southern sojourn. Greeted by Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Ministers Seethakka and D Sridhar Babu, DGP Ravi Gupta, and other high-ranking officials, the President's visit was met with enthusiasm and respect.

During her five-day stay at Rashtrapati Nilayam in Bolarum, President Murmu is scheduled to partake in various significant events. Notably, she is set to grace the centenary celebrations of the Hyderabad Public School Society in Begumpet on Tuesday. Anticipating her presence, the Hyderabad city traffic police issued advisories regarding temporary traffic halts and diversions from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at multiple junctions across Secunderabad.

The official schedule outlines her engagements, which include a visit on December 20 to the handloom and spinning unit, as well as the theme pavilion of the Ministry of Textiles in Pochampally, Telangana. Here, she plans to engage with weavers, fostering direct interaction and understanding of their craft. Later that evening, President Murmu will grace the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the MNR Educational Trust in Secunderabad.

Subsequently, on December 21, she is slated to inaugurate several projects at Rashtrapati Nilayam, underscoring her commitment to development initiatives. Finally, on December 22, the President will host an At Home Reception at Rashtrapati Nilayam, welcoming esteemed dignitaries from the State, prominent figures from various sectors, and academics to foster meaningful exchanges and connections.
