HYDERABAD: Bandi Partha Saradhi Reddy, head of the Hetero Group and a TRS Rajya Sabha candidate, is destined to become India's richest MP.
Partha Saradhi Reddy's holdings were estimated to be around Rs 3,909 crore when he filed his nomination, and his family's assets were estimated to be around Rs 5,300 crore. The majority of his assets are Hetero Group shares and investments.
The richest MP till 2021 was the late Mahendra Prasad of Bihar, who had more than Rs 4,070 crore in assets, including those of his wife, and was a member of the Hindu Undivided Family (HUF). Like Partha Saradhi Reddy, the RS MP from Janata Dal (United) who died in 2021 acquired his riches in the pharmaceutical sector.
With Rs 2,577 crore in assets, Ramky Group founder Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy of the YSR Congress became the richest MP after Prasad's death. The tag will now be passed on to the founder of the Hetero Group.
Partha Saradhi Reddy's shares account for about Rs 3,407 crore of the total movable assets of Rs 3,858 crore. While his wife owns roughly Rs 1,140 crore and his HUF owns Rs 105 crore out of the total of Rs 1,249 crore.
Partha Saradhi and his family earned Rs 140 crore in 2020-21. The liabilities are over Rs 73 crore, largely in the form of rental deposits. His jewellery is worth Rs 13 crore, and his wife's is worth Rs 6 crore. According to the Hurun rich list in 2021, Partha Saradhi, who received his PhD in synthetic organic chemistry from Osmania University in 1997, has a net worth of Rs 16,000 crore.
