BENGALURU- On Tuesday, Muslim legislators met with Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and voiced their discontent with the way a few schools and colleges in the state were treating students in the wake of the hijab controversy.

The group, which met with CM Bommai at his home, also requested increased funds for the minority community's development and welfare. According to KPCC Executive President Saleem Ahmad, the issue of ill-treatment of students in schools and colleges has been brought up. "We've requested CM Bommai to put an end to the conspiracy in the hijab row," he stated. He went on to say that students should concentrate on their studies.

Behind the hijab row, there are hands that cannot be seen. It is demanded that it follow the court's order in this case. "On a constitutional basis, we shall bend our heads before the court's ruling. We're also optimistic that we'll receive a verdict that represents constitutional ideals "he stated. CM Bommai has also been informed that the administration has failed to address the hijab versus saffron shawl conflict in schools and colleges.

According to senior MLA Tanveer Sait, the delegation asked CM Bommai to prevent outside forces from interfering in the affairs of the state's schools and colleges.
