In fact, Congress Lok Sabha MP from Virudhunagar in Tamil Nadu, Manickam Tagore shared a screenshot of an old tweet by Himanta from 2010 and wrote, "Dear Narendra Modi Ji, whom Himanta Biswa cheating?'' Along with this, Manickam Tagore wrote in his tweet that there is a need to avoid Himanta. He wrote, 'Avoid them, I know you won't allow him to cheat.'
Himanta Biswa resigned from Congress in 2015 and started his journey with the BJP. In 2016, the BJP registered a landslide victory in the elections in Assam. When Himanta left the party, the reason was Rahul Gandhi's immaturity. He had said that when he met Rahul Gandhi, Rahul was playing with his dog all the time and he and other Congress leaders were offered biscuits from the same plate from which his dog was eating biscuits.
