Lucknow: After Kashi and Mathura, now the Hindu side has claimed a mosque with a mound of Lucknow. The Hindu side, while filing a petition in the Lucknow District Court, has demanded the formation of a commission to conduct a survey of the mosque. On this, the district court has asked the petitioners to approach the lower court, as the original case was filed there in the year 2013.

The Hindu side claims that a temple dedicated to other deities, including Sheshnag Tileshwar, located in the disputed mosque complex, is being demolished so that the religious situation there can be changed. In the dispute of the year 2013, the proceedings of the Lower Court were challenged by filing a revision petition in the District Sessions Court. It states that the place called the 'mound masjid' is Lakshman Tila and therefore it should be handed over to the Hindus. Advocate Harishankar Jain, who is arguing on behalf of the Hindu side in the disputed Gyanvapi complex and the Shahi Idgah disputes of Mathura, says that the entire complex of the mound mosque is the temple of Sheshnag Tileshwar Mahadev. It was demolished by the Mughal invader Aurangzeb during his reign.

During the hearing of the case in the court, the Hindu side told the court that the main suit in the case is still pending in the lower court. He told the court that on May 28, Maulana S Shah Fazlur Rehman (opposition party) had made a statement that the roads of Lucknow could be closed on his appeal. According to the petitioners, all this is nothing more than an attempt to disturb the law and order of the city. It should be ensured that there is no disturbance in peace during the proceedings of the case. After hearing the arguments of both sides, Additional District Judge Smt Kalpana directed to move to the Lower Court.
