Bangalore: In a big announcement, Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai has decided to free the Hindu temples of the state from government control. The BJP government there is already in the headlines for the bill against conversion in the state. Now the state government has announced that the latest laws regarding Hindu temples will be amended during the next budget. CM Basavaraj Bommai has made an announcement in this regard on Wednesday (December 29, 2021).

According to the rules and regulations that are in place at present, temples have to take the permission of the government to use their income for their development. CM Bommai himself has admitted that at present, Hindu temples are under the purview of different government rules and regulations, through which they are controlled by the government. He announced that even before the budget session, work will be done to free Hindu temples from these restrictions. The temples will be given the facility to operate independently and only a few acts will remain.

He said that our seniors have been told that shrines of other religions are protected under different laws and they are allowed to operate freely. In fact, a 2-day BJP Executive Committee meeting was organized in Karnataka, during which the Chief Minister said the above things. He told that the bill against conversion will not only become law but a special task force will also be constituted to implement it properly.
