Various Pakistani actors have been featured in Bollywood films. They have gained success in India but after the Pulwama Attack Pakistani Actors are banned from working in Bollywood. The cinema wing of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has issued an open threat to filmmakers against recruiting Pakistani artists, warning them to not hire artists from Pakistan.
Producers and Filmmakers have been publicly threatened by the cinematic section of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) not to hire artists from the neighboring nation of Pakistan. MNS said, "It has come to hear that few Bollywood filmmakers have started re-recruiting Pakistani artists. This low mentality keeps arising time by time, hence we are giving clear hint that not only in Mumbai but anywhere in India for any drama/film if Pakistani talents will be seen then related makers will have to face consequences."
Ameya Khopkar, the president of MNS' movie in Mumbai, cautioned the industry's filmmakers in a tweet that if the warning is disregarded, there will be serious repercussions. Raj Thackery's right wing has stressed in a declaration from 2021 that no Pakistani artist would be permitted to work in India.
After the Pulwama terror incident, the All-Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) declared a complete ban on Pakistani actors and artists in India earlier this year. The terror assault in Pulwama, Jammu, and Kashmir on February 14 resulted in the deaths of 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans. The letter by AICWA general secretary read, "We're officially announcing a total ban on Pakistani actors and artists working in the film industry. Still if any organization insist on working with Pakistani artists will be banned by AICWA and strong action will be taken against them."
