America's surgeons have done an astonishing feat. In fact, a 57-year-old man has successfully transplanted the heart of a genetically modified pig. This has happened for the first time in medical history. Due to this, a huge shortage of organ donors can be dealt with in the coming times. According to the information received, the University of Maryland Medical School recently issued a statement saying, 'This historic transplant was done on Friday'. There are reports that even after this transplant, the treatment of the patient's disease is not certain at present, but this surgery cannot be said to be less than a milestone regarding the transplant from animals to humans.

Many serious diseases and poor health in a patient named David Bennett could not cause a heart transplant. Patients are now recovering and doctors are closely monitoring how the pig's heart is working in their bodies. David, a Maryland resident, on the other hand, says, 'I had only two options, either to die or to get it transplanted. I want to live. I know it's like shooting arrows in the dark, but it's my last choice. Bennett, who has been lying on a bed with a heart-lung bypass machine for the past several months, said, 'I look forward to getting out of bed after recovering.'

On New Year's Eve, the Us Food and Drug Administration had approved this emergency transplant as a last resort in case of non-conventional transplants. "It was a successful surgery, and it has taken us a step towards solving the problem of organ deficiency," says Dr Bartley Griffith, who transplanted the pig's heart through surgery.''
