Hockey India has announced a 28-member probable squad on Monday to prepare for the last leg of the FIH Junior Women's World Cup. The 4-week practice camp for the tournament to be held in South Africa from April 1 is going to start from Tuesday, i.e. today and will continue till March 26, after which the team is scheduled to leave for South Africa.

Yanik Shopman, head coach of the women's hockey team, said about the preparations for the last leg, "The players do not want to leave any stone unturned in their preparations for the Junior Women's World Cup in South Africa. The team has been camping in Bengaluru for the past few weeks and is now going to Bhubaneswar to prepare for the final leg. ’’

The potential players are as follows:-

Goalkeepers: Bichu Devi Kharibam, Khushboo, Madhuri Kindo.

Rakshapankti: Marina Lalramanghaki, Preeti, Priyanka, Ishika Chaudhary, Akshata Abso Dekhale, Neelam.

Mid-line: Vaishnavi Phalke, Salima Tete, Reet, Manju Chaurasia, Jyoti Chhatri, Ajmina Kujur, Sharmila Devi, Lalremsiami, Baljit Kaur, Nikita Toppo.

Front line: Rutuja Pisal, Annu, Lalrindiki, Jeevan Kishori Toppo, Mumtaz Khan, Beauty Dungdung, Deepika, Sangeeta Kumari, Dipika Soreng.
