Pooja missed out on a gold medal here but has become the first Indian player to win a silver medal at the World Championships. The 24-year-old para archer had her eyes set on becoming the first woman archer world champion at the senior level but the Gurugram lad could not face the challenge of the Tokyo Paralympic silver medalist in the final and finished 3-7 (24-24, 23-24). 21, 26-28, 24-26, 25-27). She made a comeback from a 0-2 loss to Britain's Hazel Chesty, winning 6-2 and reaching the final.

India thus finished the campaign with two silver medals by doing their best at the World Archery Para Championships. Pooja and her senior teammate of the same name Pooja Khanna were up against rivals from Mongolia for the team bronze medal but lost 1-5.
