Hoffenheim defeated Borussia Dortmund 2–1 in the German Football League Bundishliga thanks to two goals scored in the final moments by Sergis Adamian and Andrzej Kremerich. Despite taking an early lead, the loss came as a shock to Dortmund's hopes of reaching the top spot in the table.

Mario Goetje scored in the 16th minute of the game to give Dortmund an early lead. Gotje was given a place in the starting line-up for the first time this month and soon showed him the effect. Gortje was attacked by Dortmund manager Lucene Favre after captain Marco Reus was injured and was out until January.

After this, six minutes before half time, Thorgan Hazard had a chance to give Dortmund a double lead but could not dodge the opposing goalkeeper. After this, in the second half, Admayan (79th minute) and Kremerich (87th minute) scored two quick goals in the last minute to give Hoffenheim a brilliant victory. On this defeat, Julian Brandt of Dortmund said that after this match, I am not going to die but every win hurts. The same Roma team defeated the Fiorentina team, in the Italian Football League Serie-A, Roma defeated the Fiorentina 4–1 and made their move towards qualifying for the Champions League. During this, Alexander Kolarov of Roma scored a great goal through a free kick. Eden Jaco, Lorenzo Pellegrini and Niccol Geniolo also scored on behalf of Roma. Jaco scored the seventh goal of the current season during this period.
