The Indian men's hockey team's hopes of winning the FIH Pro League hockey title were shattered after a 1-2 defeat against Holland in the second match of the two-leg match here on Sunday. India also lost 1-4 in a shoot-out to Holland in the first match on Saturday even as the two teams were tied 2-2 after 60 minutes of regular time.

India needed to register a win against Holland to maintain their modest hopes of winning the title but the India team has not been able to achieve success. The Olympic champions Belgium finished second with 35 points from 16 matches, while India finished third with 30 points from 16 matches.
