New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said many times before that the Modi government will implement NRC across the country. He said in the Lok Sabha that "let us assume that NRC is going to be implemented" Illegal intruders living could be taken out.

If NRC is applicable across the country, then you will need some important documents to prove Indian citizenship, on the basis of which you can prove yourself a citizen of India. NRC stands for National Civil Register. This shows who is an Indian citizen and who is not. Those whose names will not be included in it will be called illegal citizens. Let me tell you that there is already a lot of controversy in Assam about NRC and if it is implemented in the whole country, then it can create quite a ruckus.

Keep these documents ready to be added to the NRC: -

- Land Related Documents

- Board or University Certificate

- Birth certificate

- Bank, Post Official Certificate

- Ration card

- Name in Voter List

- Other legally acceptable documents such as passports etc.
