Home Minister Amit Shah to address Ayodhya rally today

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will attend a public rally in Ayodhya on Friday at GIC ground, which is part of the Ayodhya Sadar Assembly seat.

At 10:15 am, Amit Shah will pay a visit to Ayodhya's Shri Hanumangarhi Temple. He will thereafter visit Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Temple in Ayodhya at 10:30 a.m. Shah will address a public assembly in Ayodhya (Rural) at noon today, according to the Bharatiya Janata Party's official Twitter handle.

Following that, the Union Home Minister will hold a public gathering at Sant Kabir Nagar in Gorakhapur at 2 p.m. Following that, Shah will hold a roadshow in Bareilly at 4:00 p.m., and at 7 p.m., he will address an organisational gathering in Bareilly. The Union Minister's visit is significant ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 312 seats out of the 403-seat Uttar Pradesh Assembly in 2017, while the Samajwadi Party (SP) gained 47, the Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) got 19, and the Congress only managed to win seven seats. Other candidates snatched up the remaining seats.
