New Delhi: The government has issued a notice according which CRPF Jawans will not get the ration allowance for September. An internal communication states that their ration allowance will not be available in the monthly salary in September. CRPF personnel use this allowance of 3000 rupees every month to buy food from canteen and mess.
According to the news of The Telegraph, despite repeated reminders, the Home Ministry has not released the required funds of Rs 800 crore for the ration allowances of July, August and September. In a notice sent on July 22, August 8 and September 9, CRPF had demanded an additional fund of Rs 800 crore from the Ministry of Home Affairs, so that it could be given with salary. But this additional budget has not been given by the Ministry of Home Affairs. Therefore, the ration allowance money will not be given from September 2019. All the CRPF personnel have been informed by the Ministry of Home Affairs about this.
However, CRPF has given clarification on this report of Telegraph. It said that on 12.7.2019, as per ration allowance, 22,144 arrears have been given to each CRPF personnel on behalf of the Ministry of Home Affairs. This amount has been given to 2 lakh workers taking ration money allowance. Therefore, the matter of not getting the amount of ration money allowance is baseless. CRPF is dedicated to the welfare of jawans.
