Farmers' Protest: Internet suspended for 2 days in Delhi

Chandigarh: After Riyana, now the Union Home Ministry has temporarily stopped internet services in the national capital, Delhi, at Singhu, Ghazipur, Tikri Border, and their surroundings. Internet service has been stopped from 11 pm on 29 January to 11 pm on 31 January. The government has directed all private and government telecom companies to ensure compliance with these orders.

Earlier in Haryana, the Manohar Lal Khattar-led BJP government on Friday evening banned internet services in all the 22 districts of the state with immediate effect. It is being told that the government has issued these orders to maintain peace, public order, and law and order in the area in view of the peasant movement. Please tell that on 26 January, Internet services were temporarily stopped in some parts of Delhi. This step was taken when violence occurred during the tractor parade of farmers on Republic Day.

The agitation of the farmers slowed down after the violence during the tractor rally of farmers on the occasion of Republic Day in the national capital, Delhi has started gaining momentum once again since Friday and the process of increasing the crowd at the picketing is continuing.
