Jaipur: In the midst of the political turmoil in Rajasthan, the Union Home Ministry has demanded a report from the principal secretary of the state in the phone tapping issue. In the issue, the Ministry of Home Affairs has requested the Chief Secretary of Rajasthan to submit a report. The BJP has called it a violation of privacy. The central government summoned a report in this issue from the Chief Secretary of Rajasthan. According to an official, the Ministry of Home Affairs has told the Chief Secretary that a report should be given regarding allegations of phone tapping after two audio clips were presented against the Gehlot government in the alleged trap-matter. The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of the Rajasthan Police has registered an issue under the Prevention of Corruption Act after two audio clips surfaced against the Gehlot government for creating a trap.
SCB Director General Alok Tripathi has told that the bureau has registered a case based on the complaint of Congress chief whip Mahesh Joshi. The FIR has clarified the conversation between Congress rebel MLAs Bhanwarlal Sharma and Gajendra Singh and a third person, Sanjay Jain. The Congress claims that it is Union Minister Gajendra Singh. The Ministry of Home Affairs is keeping a close watch on the allegedly leaked audio conversation case, which is under investigation by the Rajasthan Police.
The Congress has alleged that the audio talks of Bhanwar Lal Sharma with Sanjay Jain to topple the Gehlot government in Rajasthan. The alleged conversation is about 30 MLAs, in which Bhanwar Lal Sharma and Sanjay Jain are talking to each other. The team of SOG had reached the hotel in Manesar to check the audio clip, but Bhanwarlal Sharma was not there.
