New Delhi: Major action has been taken against National Investigation Agency (NIA) SP Vishal Garg in the corruption case. According to sources, taking major action in this matter, the Ministry of Home Affairs has suspended SP Garg. Vishal Garg has been accused of taking money in a case related to NIA Manipur. After the allegation, the NIA raided its own senior officer and sealed his office in the head quarter.

Taking action in this matter, the NIA has formed an investigation team. Let us tell you that two years back, Vishal Garg was also accused of taking Rs 2 crore from a Delhi businessman in the funding case related to Hafiz Saeed. Then after investigation by NIA, 2 people including SP Vishal Garg got a clean chit. Earlier, after being suspended for a year, Superintendent of Police (SP) rank officer Vishal Garg was reinstated as SP trainer at the NIA headquarters. This suspension happened only in the case related to Hafiz Saeed.

Let us tell you that in 2019, a businessman from Delhi had made allegations of blackmailing against 3 officers of NIA. The businessman had alleged that the officials had demanded a bribe of Rs 2 crore for not taking his name in a terror case related to Falah-e-Insaniyat Foundation. Hafiz Saeed runs this charity organization based in Pakistan. The NIA had registered a case in this matter in July 2018.
