Today we are going to share with you about the competitive market for two Wheeler. Honda Motorcycle & Scooters, the Indian arm of Japan's largest two-wheeler company, plans to foray into the premium motorcycle market here. The company intends to challenge Royal Enfield in the mid-size motorcycle segment through a separate business division and new product portfolio over the next 18 months.

It is worth noting that premium bikes are putting a lot of emphasis on business. We know that pricing will play an important role in dealers' success and volume growth. For this, such a model is necessary, which is produced in India. Royal Enfield dominates the premium bike market with over 8 lakh units sold annually.

Honda launched the premium bike division 'Big Wing' in February. A team of 15 senior executives are working in it, who have the experience of working on expensive and big bikes. Joe has worked with large international companies such as Ducati and Harley Davidson. Honda wants to focus on selling, marketing, branding and after-sales of big bikes through this team. The company will create a separate network of divisions in the next 18 months, for which 100 outlets will be opened in 22 locations.

Let us tell you that in this segment, the company already has a portfolio of half a dozen models, which will be sold from the outlets of Silver Big Wing. These include 300cc sports bikes to 1800cc Africa Twin. Their parts are imported and assembled in the country. However, with the new portfolio of mid-size motorcycles made in India, the company wants to compete with big international companies by making a dent in Royal Enfield's market share.
