New Delhi: owned by Classic Legends Yezdi unveiled the Adventure in India for 2023, with a starting price of Rs. 2.16 lakh (ex-showroom). ADV motorcycles now receive a number of updates for better NVH levels.

It competes with the Royal Enfield Himalayan at that price point. Can the middleweight ADV champion be defeated by the recently updated offroader? Let's investigate.

The Himalayan, a dual-sport adventure-touring model created in 2016, quickly rose to the top of Royal Enfield's global bestseller list.The motorcycle, which offered respectable offroad performance at a reasonably low price, helped popularise the middleweight ADV segment in India.

However, the Yezdi Adventure, which resembles the bike's reigning champion in every way, is now a formidable rival.

The Yezdi Adventure and the Royal Enfield Himalayan both have sculpted fuel tanks, prominent beaks, circular headlamps, wide handlebars, raised windscreens, split-style seats, upswept exhausts, and wheels that are 21 inches and 17 inches in diameter, respectively. The latter has a fully digital instrument console, as opposed to the former's semi-digital console.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan weighs 199 kg, has a 15-liter fuel tank, and a 1,465mm wheelbase. The Yezdi Adventure, on the other hand, has a 15.5-liter fuel tank, a 1,465mm wheelbase, and a kerb weight of 188kg.

Both the Royal Enfield Himalayan and Yezdi Adventure have dual-channel ABS and disc brakes on the front and rear wheels for the rider's safety. The latter has three riding modes as well. Both ADV motorcycles have preload-adjustable mono-shock units at the back and telescopic forks up front that are responsible for the suspension.

The 411cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that powers the Royal Enfield Himalayan has a maximum output of 24 horsepower and a maximum torque of 32 Nm.A 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces a maximum of 29.7 horsepower and a maximum torque of 29.9 Nm powers the Yezdi Adventure.The 5-speed gearbox on both bikes is responsible for gearbox duties.

In India, the 2023 Yezdi Adventure costs between Rs. 2.16 lakh and Rs. 2.2 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom), while the Royal Enfield Himalayan costs between Rs. 2.16 lakh and Rs. 2.28 lakh.With its aggressive design, contemporary features, superior safety technology, and powerful engine at a value for money proposition, we believe the Yezdi Adventure makes more sense.
