The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has intensified, with Israeli forces initiating ground raids in southern Lebanon. On Tuesday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that its troops are conducting operations in villages near the Israeli border, supported by airstrikes and artillery fire aimed at Hezbollah targets.

Here are the key developments in the ongoing conflict:

The IDF announced on Tuesday that "limited, localized, and targeted ground raids" were launched based on precise intelligence against Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon. These operations are targeting villages close to the Israeli border that pose immediate threats to nearby communities.

The military operation, dubbed "Northern Arrows," will continue according to situational assessments and in coordination with ongoing combat in Gaza and other areas. The IDF emphasized its commitment to defending Israeli citizens and ensuring the safety of northern communities.

The IDF also released a video showing numerous Israeli Air Force (IAF) aircraft, including fighter jets and refueling planes, striking military targets controlled by the Houthi regime in Yemen, particularly in Ras Isa and Hudaydah.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the conflict on Monday, stating, "We are in a war for our very existence. We will unite, go hand-in-hand, and defeat our enemies." He expressed his support for the soldiers defending Israel and called for national unity as the conflict continues.

U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin expressed support for Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, backing Israel's efforts to dismantle attack infrastructure along the Lebanon border to prevent Hezbollah from carrying out further assaults. Austin warned Iran of "serious consequences" if it directly attacks Israel in response to the ongoing conflict.

Meanwhile, the United Kingdom's Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) agency reported an incident 64 nautical miles northwest of Yemen's Hodeidah. Authorities are currently investigating the situation.
