Karan Adani, Managing Director of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, announced that the first phase of the Lucknow Airport Terminal 3 (T3) project will create employment opportunities for around 13,000 individuals, both directly and indirectly. He disclosed this information during the launch event of the project. Adani further mentioned that upon completion of the master plan, the terminal is expected to employ between 40,000 to 50,000 people.
The inauguration of the Integrated T3 at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport (CCSIA) in Lucknow took place virtually on March 10, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi officiating the event. Constructed at a cost of Rs. 2,400 crore, this terminal is equipped to accommodate 4,000 passengers during peak hours, catering to both domestic and international flights, as reported by Adani Airport Holdings.
During the initial phase, T3 aims to manage the travel needs of 8 million passengers annually. Plans are in place to escalate this capacity to 13 million passengers per annum in the second phase, according to a statement from Adani Airport Holdings. Adani further revealed that upon completion of the master plan by 2047-48, the terminal's capacity will expand significantly, accommodating up to 38 million passengers annually.
