New Delhi: Indian Railways has unveiled a welcome development for the residents of Madhya Pradesh by extending the Vande Bharat Express service originally operating between Rani Kamlapati and Jabalpur to include a new stop at Rewa.

In a proactive effort to optimize travel time and enhance the rail experience for passengers, Indian Railways has opted to prolong the Vande Bharat Express service, bridging the gap between Rani Kamlapati and Jabalpur all the way to Rewa. Starting this upcoming Monday, passengers can take advantage of this extended service six days a week, with the exception of Tuesdays.

Revised Timings for Stops Along the Route: The Vande Bharat Express, identified by its train number 20173, will commence its journey from Rani Kamlapati station at 3:30 PM, making stops at Itarsi at 4:18 PM, Pipariya at 4:45 PM, Narsinghpur at 5:28 PM, Jabalpur at 6:28 PM, Katni at 7:50 PM, Maihar at 9:10 PM, and Satna at 10:30 PM, culminating its voyage at the final destination, Rewa, at 11:30 PM.

For the return journey, the semi-high-speed train operating as train number 20174 will depart from Rewa at 5:30 AM, concluding at Rani Kamlapati station at 1:30 PM. Throughout the journey, the train will make scheduled halts at Satna at 6:10 AM, Maihar at 6:40 AM, Katni at 7:28 AM, Jabalpur at 8:35 AM, Narsinghpur at 9:40 AM, Pipariya at 10:40 AM, Itarsi at 11:40 AM, and Narmadapuram at 12:08 PM.

The extension of the semi-high-speed train service has substantially improved connectivity between the central region of Madhya Pradesh, specifically Bhopal, and the Mahakaushal region centered around Jabalpur. Passengers can now enjoy a time-saving advantage of approximately 30 minutes when compared to the fastest trains on the same route.

The Vande Bharat Express continues to play a pivotal role in bolstering tourism across the state, particularly by linking Jabalpur, which boasts popular tourist destinations like Bheraghat, Pachmarhi, and Satpura, to other parts of Madhya Pradesh. Each Vande Bharat Express is equipped with state-of-the-art amenities, ensuring an enriched travel experience for passengers.
