'Howdy Modi': Indian community will welcome PM Modi in the US in a special way

WASHINGTON: A programme of PM Modi with people from the Indian community in Houston, U.S.A., has been dubbed 'Howdy Modi'. The event is scheduled to be held on September 22. In fact, in southwest America, there is a trend of friendly calls to each other as 'Howdy'. Howdy is the shortest form of the English word Hao Do You Do.

Thousands of Indian community are expected to participate in the event. The special thing is that there are no tickets to participate in this program. All you need to do is register online. In addition to PM Modi's speech, a cultural programme depicting Indian-American relations will also be broadcast live.

Howdy Modi program is being organized by the Texas India Forum. A statement from the Texas India Forum said, the event is expected to encourage the common people and connect tens of thousands of people between common interests and the fast growing economy of the United States and India. The event is expected to be attended by hundreds of prominent business and community leaders from across the US.
