A six-year-old girl, missing since 5 pm on Thursday, was found dead on Friday morning under suspicious circumstances from her neighbor's house in Singareni Colony, Saidabad, Hyderabad. There is also a suspicion of sexually assaulting the girl. The residents of the colony staged a protest to initiate strict action against the neighbor Raju, who is also suspected of sexually assaulting the girl. Following the protest in Singareni Colony, police tightened security and tried to disperse the protesters when clashes broke out. Seeing the fierce demonstration of the people, a heavy police force was deployed in the colony. While the accused Raju is absconding, the police is investigating after registering a case.

There is a demand of the local people that the accused Raja in the girl's murder case should be publicly punished. In anger, vehicles were blocked on the roads. People protested on Sagar National Highway. Due to which the traffic was affected for hours. The family members of the child were also present in the sit-in demonstration on the Karmanghat-Champat road. The District Magistrates tried to talk to the protesters and the victim's family. 

Hyderabad Collector Sharman and DCC Ramesh Reddy spoke to the child's family.And after assuring them of a double bedroom house, a job in the form of chestnuts and a check of Rs 50,000 as immediate aid, the residents of the colony withdrew the protest. The collector also assured to catch Raju at the earliest and took his family members into custody. DCC Ramesh Reddy said that the CCTV footage installed in Singareni Colony is being examined. According to the postmortem, the girl was strangled to death. 

According to the information received just now, the police has arrested the accused Raju from his native place, Adaguduru village in the district.
