The Malkajgiri police on Sunday arrested a 27-year-old man for raping his sister's classmate in Boduppal. The accused sexually assaulted a girl by threatening to share her pictures on the internet and also forced to undergo abortion three times. The accused, Sai Teja alias Sunny, befriended the B-Pharmacy third-year student during the time he went to the college to drop and pick up his sister. Sai Teja's sister and the victim are said to be classmates. The accused then sexually assaulted the girl on the pretext of marrying her.

Teja downloaded an application in the victim cell phone which downloads whatever the phone’s camera sees without any indication. After having caught nude shots of the victim, Teja blackmailed her to have sex with him or risk her photos being uploaded online. The accused would force the victim to go to hotels rooms with him seeking sexual favors.

The police said that the girl had lodged a complaint against the accused on March 27 and after an investigation, it came to light that Sai Teja had installed an AVS (audio-video streamer) application without the victim's knowledge which captured her images and sent to the accused. The accused then impregnated her thrice and forced her to undergo abortion each time. Teja, a resident of Ramnagar area of Musheerabad, was taken into custody after the girl filed a case with the police.
