In a Bonalu (traditional Hindu festival of Telangana) procession in the old city of Hyderabad, a youth was beaten up when he did not chant 'Jai Shri Ram.' It is being told that a 17-year-old boy from the minority community was attacked by some people for not raising the slogan of Jai Shri Ram. After the attack, there has been an atmosphere of tension in the Charminar area since late Thursday night. It is being told that the police have identified the miscreants and taken them into custody.

According to police, a minor boy, a resident of Hussainiyalam, was on his way home on Thursday night. Meanwhile, a Bonalu procession was taking place from Shad Cafe Hussainiyalam under Charminar police station. In the meantime, suddenly a group of miscreants allegedly stopped the victim and put a tilak on her forehead and asked her to chant Jai Shri Ram. During this time, when the youth refused to do so, he was allegedly beaten up. It is being told that after this incident, there is an atmosphere of tension in the area.

At the same time, the victim has lodged a complaint with the Charminar police, and a case has been registered on it. Police have identified the main culprit Rupesh Sharma in the case. At present, the case has not been fully confirmed and no concrete information has been revealed about the matter. However, the incident is going viral on social media.
