Hyderabad: Fed up with the harassment of their alcoholic unemployed son, the headmaster of a government school and his wife got their son killed by giving him a contract. The incident is being reported from Khammam, where the parents gave the contract to kill their only son for eight lakh rupees. Police have arrested Kshatriya Ram Singh and Rani Bai, along with four assailants, for the murder of 26-year-old Sai Ram. The attackers have been accused of strangulating Sai Ram and giving a contract to Kshatriya Ram Singh and Rani Bai.
In fact, on October 18, the police found the body of a man who was strangled to death at Musi in Suryapet. After examining the CCTV footage, the police had seen the family car used in the crime. When the couple went to the morgue to identify the body, they used the same vehicle from which they were caught. According to police, the couple had never filed a missing person's report of their son.
Ram Singh is the principal of a government gurukul and his daughter lives in the US. During interrogation, the couple confessed that their son used to beat and abuse them every day for not paying for liquor, police said. According to Huzurabad Circle Inspector Ram Ling Reddy, the couple had sought assistance from Rani Bai's brother Satyanarayana to kill their son. On October 18, Satyanarayana and a killer had taken Sai Ram in a vehicle to a temple where they made Sai Ram drink heavily and then strangled him to death with a rope.
