Another person was arrested by Hyderabad police on Monday in the SIM swap fraud case. The Hyderabad police arrested Tamanna Chiranjeevi from Visakhapatnam.

Police said Chiranjeevi had given his bank account details to the fraudsters for the commission. Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police said that Rs 18 lakh was transferred in to the bank accounts set up by Chiranjeevi, the main accused in the SIM swap fraud case. Three of The West Bengal's Sagar Mahato, Kumar, Gaurav Singh and Sanjay Agarwal were arrested in October and moved to Rajendra Nagar.

The gang has sent links to the bank's customers' email account in the name of income tax return or any other process. "After clicking on the links provided in the customer's email, the electronic device used will compromise. The fraudster gets access to their Internet banking and transfers money into bank accounts set up by Chiranjeevi and others," police said.
