India is celebrating its 74th Independence day all over the country and due to the pandemic, many celebrations are not done. Recently, all the three Police Commissionerates in the State capital celebrated Independence Day at their respective headquarters on Saturday. Hyderabad Commissioner Anjani Kumar hoisted the national flag at the city police headquarters at Petlaburj.

Giving a speech on the occasion, Anjani Kumar said during the last six months, the Hyderabad City Police had done exemplary work during the Covid-19 pandemic and lived up to the expectations of the public. In Cyberabad, C. Anasuya, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Women and Children Safety wing) hoisted the national flag at the Commissioner’s office in the morning.

At Rachakonda, Commissioner Mahesh M. Bhagwat hoisted the national flag at the Commissionerate building in Neredmet. Sudheer Babu, Additional Commissioner Shilpavali, Additional DCP (Admin) and other officers were also present in the event.

Addressing the gathering, the Commissioner asked the policemen to help citizens in all legitimate cases and also to help the Covid-19 patients and their families. “The Rachakonda police are actively involved in the fight against Covid-19 by taking up various initiatives and doing humanitarian work also,” he added.
