Hyderabad: Vehicles with reduced pollution levels have been kept away from the roads from lock-down and severe monsoon. At the same time, the city's air quality has again declined with the Air Quality Index (AQI) in the last two months of winter, which has been growing rapidly in the last two days. However, due to the corona, there is a long lockdown in the state and pollution has decreased significantly when vehicles go on the roads.

This time, the winter changed the city in the shaky weather and also affected the air quality. Hyderabad air quality is very moderate.

According to telangana state pollution control board (TSPCB) data, AQI has fallen from 'good' to 'moderate' category in most parts. PCB officials said that the pollution during the rainy season will be reduced significantly. Explain that the AQI level of 0-50 is 'good' category, 51-100 AQI 'satisfactory', 101-200 under 'Moderate', 201-300 under 'Bad', 'Very'. 301-400 is considered in the 'severe' category under the bad and above 400.

The AQI registered by the Monitoring Centre at Hyderabad University reached 93 in October and reached 141 in December. Similarly, AQI in Kukatpalli and Madhapur has increased from 87 and 75 to 107 and 109 respectively.

Cold weather conditions combine fog pollutants from vehicles and industries, and then construction activities also increase air pollution," a senior pollution control board official said.

Nehru Zoological Park, which is in the 'good' category of air level during the monsoon, has recently reached the 'Moderate' section. In the last five months, aQI has increased from 43 to 192, from 25 in August to 192 in December in Santangar. In Balanagar, which is surrounded by many industries, AQI has increased from 98 in October to 157 in December. Air quality at The Jeedi methas reached 102 to 145 in the last two months.
