Pakistan: Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, is having the best dress rehearsal before the Asia Cup after a lackluster start in the Lanka Premier League (LPL) and a successful turnaround with the Colombo Strikers.
Following a laborious performance against B-Love Kandy for which he received harsh criticism, Babar then played two quickfire innings, the first against Dambulla Aura and the second against the Galle Titans, the latter of which resulted in a miraculous century in a successful run-chase of 189 runs.
Babar became only the second player in men's cricket history to reach the milestone with this, following Chris Gayle, who has 22 tons to his credit in the shortest format. This was Babar's 10th century in T20 cricket.

Babar reached his century in 57 balls, and even though he was dismissed before leading his team to victory, Mohammad Nawaz of Pakistan finished off the run chase by hitting a six and a four in the final over of bowling from Kasun Rajitha.
After the game, Babar was the talk of the town, but an incident that happened early in the innings has gone viral online.

When the graphic displayed the Pakistan captain's statistics on screen, former PCB chairman Ramiz Raja, who is now back in the commentary box, was in utter awe of him and didn't hold back when expressing as much.
"I absolutely love him, want to marry him," Raja said. The video has gone viral on the internet and many couldn't believe that he actually said that.
Babar Azam and his team will play a three-match ODI series against Afghanistan in Sri Lanka only as they get ready to co-host the Asia Cup with four matches to be played in Pakistan and the remaining in the island nation, following the two-match Test series and the current Lanka Premier League.
