"I am earning higher amount in web and Marathi films": Gashmeer Mahanjani

The television industry made Gashmeer Mahajani a household name thanks to the programme Imlie. The audience praised his pairing with actress Sumbul Touqeer, who has a sizable social media fan base. In the near future, the actor will demonstrate his dance skills on the reality series Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10. The Marathi actor recently discussed doing TV shows and taking on projects on other platforms with Hindustan Times.

Actor Gashmeer Mahajani's departure from his last TV show, Imlie, midway through production and shift to Marathi films and Hindi digital shows gave the impression that he had left television. Mahajani contends otherwise, though. When asked if he will return to TV, he immediately responds, "I will. If the content interests me, I'll return. especially if the people who are creating it share my creative and intellectual interests. Most likely, I'll only do it temporarily. He adds that even though it might be a daily soap, he will prepare for his exit from the show.

The actor explains that a TV show's plot runs out after 100 episodes, so it's crucial for him to part ways at that point. Every story, he said, has a life, and when that life is over, the story is over. Because that is when the TRPs and the ads start to roll in, the producers won't stop the show. They initially only invested money; however, after 200–300 episodes, they begin to profit. He has nothing to do with the show, so as an actor, he wouldn't want to be a part of that. He continued by saying he would take on a project for a brief time. "Free me and my character when the story is finished after 100 to 150 episodes, and you can continue the show," he commanded.

Mahajani has made up his mind, and nothing—not even a good salary—can make him change his mind. "I'm making the same or more money in Marathi movies and the web. I made more money for my previous web show than I did for my TV show. I've signed on to the highest budgeted Marathi movie, Chhava, and I'm currently the highest paid actor in the Marathi business. It exceeds the money I made from that TV show. Never use money as a criterion. Uske liye mujhe TV karne ki zarurat nahi hai, I get paid," Gashmeer said
