Jabalpur: Politics over the urban elections in Madhya Pradesh has heated up. From CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and BJP state president VD Sharma to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal are taking interest in it. At the same time, Congress state president and CM Kamal Nath said that he is not interested in the civic body elections. It must be in the elections of MLAs. He was asked a question about being the mayor of the BJP for 18 years in his stronghold Chhindwara.

In fact, on Thursday, Kamal Nath campaigned for the civic body elections in Jabalpur. He started the election campaign after offering prayers at Gwarighat in Mother Narmada. Kamal Nath told the media, "I am not very interested in the election of mayor. He was asked that Chhindwara is your role model, why has the BJP's mayor been there for the last 18 years? In reply, Kamal Nath said that Chhindwara is a district. There is a Lok Sabha. As for the mayor, I am not interested in the election of the mayor. These elections are at the local level. At present, all mlas inside Chhindwara belong to the Congress.

On a question related to this, he said, "The mayor will be of the BJP but the Congress has all the MLAs there. I am not much interested in the election of mayor. Kamal Nath held a road show for Jabalpur Congress mayoral candidate Jagat Bahadur Annu. He is accompanied by Rajya Sabha MPs Vivek Tankha, Tarun Bhanot and Congress MLAs.
