Churchill Brothers FC Goa defeated Kolkata's legendary club Mohun Bagan 4-2 in an I-League match played here on Sunday. With this victory, Churchill Brothers are on top of the points table with Gokulam Kerala FC taking six points from two matches. Wills Dion Plaza scored for Churchill Brothers in the second and 38th minutes, while Junior Primus scored in the 29th and Abu Bakr scored in the 76th minute. For Mohun Bagan, Fran Gonzaleed scored in the 34th and Shubha Ghosh scored in the 90th minute.

Mohan Bagan could not score a single goal with a change in this match while Churchill Brothers FC Goa won their second consecutive win of the season without any change. The first goal of the match was scored by Plaza on the cross of Zambian player Davada Sesay. The goal made the hosts nervous. He, however, thwarted several subsequent attacks by Churchill Brothers FC Goa. In the eighth minute, Mohun Bagan tried to score a goal but it failed. Meanwhile Churchill Brothers FC Goa scored another goal in the 29th minute to take another goal to take 2-0. This goal was scored by Robert Jr. Primus on a corner missed by Sesay.

In the final moments, a brilliant striker from Beytia was intercepted by Churchill Brothers FC Goa's Substitute Goalkeeper James Keethan and maintained his team's 4-2 win margin.
