According to the report, Union Minister Gadkari said at an event in Nagpur that he will not sit in a car with petrol and diesel. "I use a hydrogen car in Delhi, I run an electric car in Nagpur. But the police and security personnel do not allow me to sit in any car other than the bulletproof car. Because of this, I have to sit in this car, but now I have decided that I will no longer sit in a petrol and diesel car." Gadkari appealed to the people to take electronic scooters. It is very beneficial. Gradually, petrol and diesel vehicles will be eliminated from the country. 400 companies manufacturing electric scooters have opened in India.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has said on many occasions that the number of electric vehicles is increasing rapidly across the country. According to Gadkari, there are 20.8 lakh electric vehicles in the country today. There are 10 lakh more electric vehicles than in 2021. Their number has increased by 300 percent. Gadkari believes that by 2030, according to his estimate, there will be 2 crore vehicles.
